About Us

Welcome to DuBois Psychological & Consulting Services. Dr. Chelita DuBois, owner, is a clinical psychologist licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. Her therapeutic style focuses on helping clients understand the mind-body connection. In essence, helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and beliefs can positively and negatively effect their biological functioning. Her psychotherapy interests include sport psychology, psychological evaluations, and brief psychotherapy. She has experience working with clients who express a wide range of psychological difficulties.

Dr. DuBois completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a health psychology concentration from Nova Southeastern University in 2010. She completed an APA accredited internship from the University of Oklahoma, completing a 6-month rotation at Psychological Resources for OU student athletes (PROS). She completed an APA accredited fellowship at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System with an emphasis in Health Psychology.

Our newest therapist is Erika DuBois, a licensed professional counselor with 8 years experience licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Her therapeutic style is warm and affirming, but direct. She'd love to help you navigate your healing journey and believes that the therapeutic relationship is a mirror to reflect back the human spirit. She is a certified Intuitive Eating counselor and has a passion for helping people heal their relationship with food and body.

Erika Dubois completed her B.A. in psychology from the Purdue University School of Science (IUPUI) and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity University. She has experience in trauma recovery, LGBTQ Health, CBT, and reality therapy.
